I appreciate the bookmark - I would advise that unless you're planning a brave new direction for IceBlueBanana.com then jump into the frey and get into FB now.

You can set it up using networked blogs so that it's a low involvement tool: set it to auto update so that your mum isn't just confined to your photo's - she can read all the great stuff you're writing as well.

Then when you're ready to really pimp out the page you can put some more effort into it and make it a great traffic driver and a hub for engagement. If you ever get extreme with it I can probably help you out if you want something special done.

Haha yeah it's pretty full on aye. I was thinking that Gary Vanyrchucks FB page would be the most appropriate for you as reference point/bench mark on how to put together a wicked FB page. As he's built a personal brand from the ground up just like you're doing.
